Release Procedures
When a new version of the dataserver is released, the previous version is kept available online for a minimum of two months to allow users/developers to update their parsers.
The 'dataserver_current' link always points to the latest version.
It is recommended that users use the version-numbered areas, such as 'dataserver1_4,' instead of the 'dataserver_current' link if they are concerned about the API or formats changing unexpectedly. With each new release, the 'dataserver_current' link will be updated and this may cause slight changes in the handling of requests or format of responses that could cause your program to fail. On the other hand, users who always want to use the latest and greatest release can simply use the 'dataserver_current' link to make sure that they are always up to date.
