Station Info Output Formats

XML

  • The STATION INFO XML output has an XML schema
  • STATION INFO fields are returned in the same order, indicated by the STATION INFO Field Description.
  • Element names are in lower-case with words separated by an underscore (_). Whenever applicable, the units are included at the end of the element name. For example, an element name of temperature_c indicates that temperature is in degrees Celsius.
  • Each row of STATION INFO data is returned as a separate 'STATION INFO' tag, followed by the STATION INFO fields. Any fields that appear to be missing are either not reported in the STATION INFO or were not parsed.
  • STATION INFO fields are always returned in the order indicated by the STATION INFO Field Description. The exception to this is when cloud, icing and turbulence conditions are grouped together.
  • The output includes some statistics about the request, such as the number of results and the time taken to fulfill the request.
  • All data is ordered by descending observation time.
  • An error message is generated when an error in the input request prevents the retrieval of data.
  • If a constraint parameter is missing and a default value exists, an appropriate warning message is produced and the default request is fulfilled.
